Our vehicles are fitted with summer tyres as standard. Since December 4th 2010, in the Federal Republic of Germany you are legally obliged to fit your vehicle with M+S tyres or all-season tyres in the event of slippery ice, snow, slush or ice. Your MAN partner will gladly advise you.

All information in this document is based on the characteristics of the German market and the knowledge available at the time of going to press.

The engines are equipped with a multi-stage exhaust after-treatment system (diesel particulate filter and SCR catalytic converter). The SCR catalytic converter (Selective Catalytic Reduction) selectively converts the exhaust gas component nitrogen oxide (NOX) into nitrogen (N2) and water (H2O) without the formation of unwanted by-products. The conversion takes place using a synthetically produced aqueous urea solution, such as AdBlue^® (ISO 22241-1/AUS 32),
which is carried in an additional tank. Depending on the vehicle, the customer must also refill the AdBlue^® service product himself between service intervals or have it refilled by his
MAN partner.

The vehicle unladen weights stated include 68kg for the driver, 7kg for the luggage, all operating fluids and 90% fuel, determined in accordance with the current version of Regulation (EU) No. 1230/2012. Equipment or equipment lines may affect the unladen weight. The actual payload of a vehicle, calculated as the difference between the gross vehicle weight and the unladen weight, can therefore only be determined by weighing the individual vehicle.

As the altitude increases, the engine power inevitably decreases. From 1,000m above sea
level onwards and for each additional 1,000m, 10% must therefore be deducted from the
gross combination weight (permissible towing capacity plus permissible gross weight of the towing vehicle).

In the vehicle classes N1, N2, M1 and M2, the refrigerant R1234yf is used in all diesel engines. The GWP value of the refrigerant used is 4 (R1234yf refrigerant). Filling capacities depend on the refrigerant compressor. With one air conditioning compressor, the filling capacities vary between 540g and 560g. With two air conditioning compressors, the filling capacities vary between 785g and 815g. The additional roof-mounted air conditioning system of the MAN TGE Intercity and MAN TGE Coach still contains the refrigerant R134a.

The consumption and emissions values given were determined by the legally stipulated measuring procedure. From September 1st 2017, new vehicles are approved by the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP), a more realistic test procedure for measuring fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. From September 1st 2018, the WLTP also replaced the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) for light commercial vehicles.

Where consumption and emission values are given as a range, they do not refer to an individual vehicle and are therefore not part of the offer. They are provided for comparison purposes only.

Additional equipment and accessories (add-on parts, tyre format, etc.) can change relevant vehicle parameters such as, for example, weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics, and along with weather and traffic conditions as well as individual driving behaviour, they can influence fuel consumption, electricity consumption, CO₂ emissions and the driving performance values of a vehicle.

Return and recycling of end-of-life vehicles:
MAN faces up to the challenges of modern society and takes them into account in all new products of the MAN brand. This naturally also applies to the protection of the environment
and resources. All MAN TGE can be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner and can generally be returned free of charge, subject to compliance with national legal regulations. Further information on the return and recycling of end-of-life vehicles is available at www.van.MAN/de/de/altautoverwertung.html or from your MAN sales and/or service centre.

wet grip and noise.
